The Featured Listing Widget

The Featured Listing Widget works like a stack of photos. You can see the top photo, but there are more pictures in the stack. The website has to load each photo in the stack before it can show visitors your homepage.

Too many listings in this widget can negatively affect the time it takes for your website to load, so the number of properties available within the widget at any time is limited.

How it Works

Your Featured Listing Widget automatically pulls current data from MLS to put together a collection of listings to be featured in the widget.

Adding a Sold or Exclusive

This widget only pulls current MLS data. This means, you would not be able to add a sold or exclusive property listing to your Featured Listing Widget.

You can, however, add a sold or exclusive properties to your website by following the steps in our previous Knowledgebase article: How do I Add a Sold Property to my Website? and How do I Manually Add a Listing?

Refining the Listings within the Widget

Pro level websites can customize the featured listing widget to contain listings that meet certain criteria through a custom saved search. This would allow for you to refine which listings appear in the widget. Example: You could ask the featured listing widget to contain listings that are priced between $200-500K

If you are interested in custom criteria for your featured listing widget contact your Sales Team. Remember to keep the criteria fairly broad because if there are no listings that meet those criteria, your widget will be empty and appear blank.

Manually Adding Listings

Pro level websites can also customize the featured listing widget to display only the listings you want to be shown. As the widget only operates either 100% manually or 100% automatically, you would add all the MLS listings you would like featured manually on a regular basis.

The widget would no longer pull listings automatically from MLS; you will have to fill the featured listing widget with MLS listings you would like featured in your widget. If the listings in the widget are not regularly maintained, the widget could empty and no longer have any properties displayed.

When activating this option, all MLS data is available. The featured listing widget is not refined by any defined criteria like your personal listings, so be careful when adding listings and be sure to check you have entered the correct MLS number.

We recommend your featured listing widget contain no more than 15 listings to maintain a fast loading website.
