How Do I Make my Preview Site Live?

Making Your Site Preview Live

There are a few different ways of making your site live on the internet.

New Website: Domain is Hosted by Redman

If you are getting a new website with Redman Technologies and we also host your domain, we can make the appropriate updates on your behalf after we have received confirmation that you are ready for your website to be live!

New Website: Domain is not Hosted by Redman

If your domain is not hosted by Redman, you will have to access your domain management panel and update the NameServer Records to:

Record Type: NS Record

Hostname: blank

TTL: 3600 seconds

Address: ns1.redmantech.ca

 

Record Type: NS Record

Hostname: blank

TTL: 3600 seconds

Address: ns2.redmantech.ca

Once this update is complete, additional DNS updates you may require in the future would need to be made by Redman on your behalf.

 

If you would like to maintain complete control over your DNS Records, you can update them to the following:

 

Record Type: A Record

Hostname: blank

TTL: 3600 seconds

Address: 174.129.209.50

 

Record Type: A Record

Hostname: www

TTL: 3600 seconds

Address: 174.129.209.50

 

Record Type: CNAME Record

Hostname: blog

TTL: 3600 seconds

Address: blogs.redmantech.ca

Alternately, if you are not comfortable updating your DNS Records, you can provide your domain registrar login information, this information will be used for setting up your website only and will not be kept on file or be able to be used for any future DNS Record updates.

Upgraded Website

If your website is already hosted by Redman and you are upgrading then setting your site live is easy! Simply send us a confirmation email approving your website updates and the Creative Team can begin making the appropriate updates.
